Earth From Above – Our Earth satellite Terra captured images of the 1,200+ mile trail of smoke plumes generated by California wildfires on Aug. 20. By measuring Aerosol Optical Depth, we can see how the density of smoke particles scatter incoming sunlight and affect human health.
