From the Archives In 1949, the women computers who worked at the NACA’s Muroc Flight Test Unit—now NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center in Edwards, California—took a moment to have some fun during a rare snow event. Pictured in this photograph with the snowman are (standing left to right): Mary (Tut) Hedgepeth; Lilly Ann Bajus; Roxanah Yancey; Emily Stephens; Jane Collons; Leona Corbett; and Angel Dunn. Kneeling, left to right: Dorothy (Dottie) Crawford Roth; Dorothy Clift Hughes; and Gertrude (Trudy) Wilken Valentine.
