The Mission Control Center rejoiced: the first experiment on artificial illumination of the Earth called ‘Znamya’ had been a success. With the help of a light sail deployed on board the ‘Progress M-15’ spacecraft, it was possible to reflect sunlight and illuminate the night side of our planet.
