https://www.academia.edu/50942495/Kurze_Geschichte_des_Smartphones?email_work_card=title My research and teaching are focused on two fields: the first is the history of Switzerland in a transnational perspective and a European context. I try to link the invention of national traditions and the foundation of the modern federal state with the rise of an internationalized economy and the emergence of the Swiss financial place. The second deals with the history of the body, psychiatry and medicine and concentrates on the effects and uses of food, drugs and pharmaceuticals. A common denominator of all research projects is a strong interest in the history of knowledge and science.
