French musician Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, the first black classical composer in history, is known to have influenced the famed Austrian, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, earning him the sobriquet, ‘Black Mozart’. Saint-Georges is the subject of an upcoming American biopic.
