Honoring Kalpana Chawla – Northrop Grumman named the next Cygnus spacecraft launching to the space station in honor of the first woman of Indian descent to go into space, Kalpana Chawla, who was lost with the rest of her crew in the 2003 Columbia accident. Liftoff is targeted for Sept. 29 from our Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. |
