Vank Cathedral
Isfahan Armenian Vank Cathedral.The gold embellishments in the murals are mirrored in the gilded frescoes of the Vank Cathedral, built in the early 17th century when the Safavid king Shah Abbas I resettled thousands of Armenians in Isfahan. Its architectural features are a confluence of Orthodox, Armenian and Persian cultures.
