THE CIRCLE OF LOVE
In "the Circle of Love", which might as well have been called "The Circle of Life", Poen de Wijs shows images from different stages of life. He painted people from several cultures, old wise men, but also babies, young men and beautiful women, animals and ancient sculptures and gods from exotic civilizations. People inextricably bound up with his culture on the one hand and with nature on the other. Poen de Wijs places them in a cycle where love is the creating and connecting element.
