Julie de Graag painted flowers, animal studies and portraits, but made especially graphics, such as woodcuts of peasant figures (Laren peasant women), plants, animals, portraits and townscapes. Her work is in the Art Nouveau style, simple but sophisticated. She made use of end grain that makes editing more difficult because of its hardness, but produces much finer print.
