Heinrich Rudolf Schuster: Schuster studied at the Dresden Academy from 1863. Studying nature all his life, he became the German painter of the Mittelgebirge, the Alps and the Apennines. The artist undertook numerous study trips, and longer periods have been recorded in Düsseldorf, Berlin, Dresden, Weimar and Meran. The pinnacle of his oeuvre is his paintings of the Riesengebirge, created during the mid 1880’s.
