The Quantum Theory of the Electron -Dirac's magical work By SAMIR LIPOVACA

The paper derives the Dirac equation, one of the most important equations in physics. It seems a magical move Dirac made was, essentially, to take a square root of the Klein-Gordon operator to derive his equation. This counter-intuitive approach turned out revolutionary since it led to the prediction of the existence of antiparticles. Interestingly, Dirac in the paper was concerned only with “the interpretation of the relativity theory to be just as general as that of the non-relativity theory”. But, he stated in the paper: “The true relativity wave equation should thus be such that its solutions split up into two non-combining sets, referring respectively to the charge –𝑒 and the charge 𝑒". It took him three years to finally admit an undeniable fact: his equation describes in a unified way both particles and antiparticles. ...
