The final submitted version will slightly differ. Abstract: This paper assesses recent archaeological and geophysical evidence concerning the possible continuation of Tutankhamun’s tomb (KV 62) and its potential association with Nefertiti. Architectural anomalies, modifications to the burial chamber’s decoration, altered cartouches, and evidence of structural adaptation support the hypothesis that KV 62 was originally conceived as part of a larger royal tomb and subsequently modified for Tutankhamun’s burial. New multi-method geophysical investigations, including microgravimetry, indicate possible corridors and additional chambers beyond the known structure. Several scenarios are considered: natural geological features, unfinished or abandoned chambers, or an intact royal burial belonging to Nefertiti, Meritaten, or another Amarna princess. Definitive identification, however, requires physical investigation of the suspected chambers and, if human remains are discovered, epigraphic and genetic analysis.
