Dore executed a second watercolour of this subject. slightly larger and with more elves, two years later in 1875 (Berg and Metken, Gustave Dore. L'Oeuvre Graphique, Paris, 1976, Vol. I, cover illustration and Vol.II, p. 104). In addition, Dore completed a large painting of a similar subject: Le Pays de Fees (Delorme, Gustave Dore, peintre, sculpteur, dessinateur et graveur, Paris, 1879, p. 40).
