Major Props! Orion Propulsion Test in New Mexico a Success

Work Underway to Prepare for Artemis Lunar Program
Advancements on all fronts are moving ahead rapidly, with the completion of critical Orion spacecraft testing and a new initiative to launch CubeSats on a historic mission – Artemis 2. Our Artemis program will send the first woman and the next man to the Moon by 2024 and develop a sustainable human presence on the Moon by 2028.
This week we put the Orion spacecraft's propulsion system to the test. Watch the engines fire up, simulating a challenging mission scenario: boosting Orion into a temporary orbit. This test helps ensure the safety of astronauts on Artemis missions.
