More children’s books on environment, publishers call it ‘the Greta Thunberg effect’
The number of children’s books dealing with global warming, the climate crisis and the natural world has more than doubled in the last year. Sales too have increased.
Climate change is one of the most glaring problems plaguing humankind today. Over the years, the issue has triggered widespread discussion and conversation, and has now found its way to children’s books. According to a report in The Guardian, books for children are now spilling with stories of endangered animals, and also giving tips on how to deal with waste.
