Previous research has largely overlooked this group compared to other Mongolian shamanistic practices, particularly those of the Darxad people. The study seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of Buriad shamanism through firsthand accounts from practitioners, including a detailed account of a specific ritual performed by a shamaness and her assistant, supplemented by video recordings and interviews.
