New Topics, New Approaches. The lecture held at the jubilee conference aimed to provide a picture of the three aforementioned currents and their presence in Hungarian historiography. The innovative, theoretically based methodological approaches of historical anthropology, fruitfully intergrating the approaches of neighbouring disciplines, had a role in stimulating research in Hungary in the 1980s and 1990s. The article enumerates some significant examples of this effect. As for the history of emotions, one of the new currents that appeared in the 2000s, its presence inspiring followers can be observed, and its popularity is expected to grow further. ...
