NSF/CASIS 2026 Transport Phenomena

https://issnationallab.org/opportunities/rfp2026-1/ Back in December 2015, the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space® (CASIS®), announced their first joint solicitation, Transport Phenomena Research at the International Space Station to Benefit Life on Earth. Since then, NSF has committed more than $46 million to space-based research across the physical and life sciences and has supported more than 70 ISS National Lab-sponsored projects. More than 200 peer-reviewed articles related to these studies have been published, furthering scientific knowledge for the research community. Read about this first collaboration and consider applying for the currently open NSF/CASIS transport phenomena opportunity before it closes on January 12, 2026.
