This paper examines the relationship between the 14-royal-cubit modular construction system recently identified in the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Osirian mythological complex central to Old Kingdom Egyptian cosmology. Modern scholarly approaches often separate "technical" engineering from "religious" symbolism, imposing post-Enlightenment categories absent in ancient Egyptian worldviews. This study argues that such separation obscures fundamental integration: for the pyramid builders, technical specifications and cosmological imperatives were expressions of a unified knowledge system. The Osiris myth details the god's dismemberment into 14 pieces by Seth (chaos/Isfet) and subsequent reassembly by Isis (order/Ma'at). This 14-part modular structure finds precise architectural expression in the pyramid's 14-royal-cubit construction modules (280 rc total height = 20 × 14 rc). The number 14 simultaneously encodes mythological division, astronomical phasing (14-day lunar waning cycle), and metrological practice (14-digit "great span" subdivision of the 28-digit royal cubit). The Djed pillar-explicitly identified as Osiris's "backbone" and symbol of stability-served as both ritual object and technical datum. The climactic "Raising of the Djed" ceremony, wherein pharaohs physically erected a pillar using ropes, provides the ritual template for pyramid construction itself. The Khoiak festival's "corn mummy" rituals, requiring earthen "burial" before "sprouting," offer a symbolic parallel to the systematic "grounding" of architectural modules below theoretical boundaries-a pattern identified in recent technical analysis. This synthesis demonstrates that the Great Pyramid's construction represents not merely monumental engineering but ritualized enactment of cosmological restoration: the 23-year project as continuous Osirian reassembly, transforming the pharaoh's tomb into the ultimate axis mundi-an eternal Djed stabilizing the cosmos.
