Mon., Jan. 20, 5:30 a.m.: Coverage of International Space Station Expedition 61 U.S. spacewalk #63 to complete replacement of batteries on the P6 truss (astronauts Jessica Meir and Christina Koch); spacewalk scheduled to begin at 7:10 a.m. EST.
Wed., Jan. 22, 1 p.m.: Celebrating the Spitzer Space Telescope. This live program will celebrate the far-reaching legacy of the agency’s Spitzer Space Telescope – a mission that, after 16 years of amazing discoveries, soon will come to an end. One of NASA's four Great Observatories, Spitzer launched on Aug. 25, 2003, and has studied the cosmos in infrared light. Its breathtaking images have revealed the beauty of the infrared universe.
Sat., Jan. 25, 5:30 a.m.: Coverage of International Space Station Expedition 61 U.S. spacewalk #64 to complete Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) repairs; spacewalk scheduled to begin at 7:10 a.m. EST. NASA astronaut Andrew Morgan and space station Commander Luca Parmitano of ESA (European Space Agency) will finish installing the new AMS cooling apparatus and lines begun in November and December, and verify they are ready for use.
Wed., Feb. 5, 9 p.m.: International Space Station Expedition 61 farewells and Soyuz MS-13 hatch closure coverage. Hatch closure scheduled at 9:27 p.m. EST; Skvortsov, Koch, Parmitano departing the station.
Wed., Feb. 5, 11:15 p.m.Launch of Solar Orbiter. Solar Orbiter, a joint NASA/ESA (European Space Agency) mission, will address central questions concerning our star, the Sun. The spacecraft will launch on a United Launch Alliance Atlas V 411 rocket from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral. NASA’s Launch Services Program is managing the launch.
Thu., Feb. 6, 12:15 a.m.: International Space Station Expedition 61/Soyuz MS-13 undocking coverage. Undocking scheduled at 12:49 a.m. EST; Skvortsov, Koch, Parmitano departing the station.
Thu., Feb. 6, 3 a.m.: International Space Station Expedition 61/Soyuz MS-13 deorbit burn and landing coverage (Skvortsov, Parmitano, Koch) Deorbit burn scheduled at 3:19 a.m. EST; landing near Dzhezkazgan, Kazakhstan scheduled at 4:14 a.m. EST.
