En un hombre sabio, la tristeza y el egoísmo no se quedan, como el agua en una hoja de loto. Como el loto no está mojado por el agua, el sabio no se ve afectado por lo que se ve u oye, ni por lo que perciben los otros sentidos. Un hombre sabio no está engañado por lo que perciben los sentidos.

In a wise man sorrow and selfishness do not stay, like water on a lotus leaf. As a lotus is not wetted by water, so a wise man is not affected by what is seen or heard, nor by what is perceived by the other senses. A wise man is not deluded by what is perceived by the senses.
