Julius Sergius von Klever was a Russian landscape painter of Baltic German descent.
Julius von Klever was born in the 31st of January in 1850 in Dorpat and frequented the grammar school in the same town. From 1867 to 1876, he frequented the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg.
In 1873 he participated in numerous expositions, some even outside Russia. In 1878 he became a member of the St. Petersburg Academy and in 1881 a professor of landscape painting in the same place.
