Author Madhuri Vijay on winning the JCB Prize for Literature for The Far Field and engaging with Kashmir
Madhuri Vijay was shortlisted for her first novel The Far Field (HarperCollins India, 2019). Apart from the announcement, she was also anticipating labour pains for her due date was on the same date as the award.
Writer Madhuri Vijay, 27, could not make it to Jaipur this weekend to attend the announcement of the second JCB Prize for Literature as she is based in Hawaii. She was shortlisted for her first novel The Far Field (HarperCollins India, 2019). Apart from the announcement, she was also anticipating labour pains for her due date was on the same date as the award.
