Children's Day: On this day, we bring to you a list of books you can give to children or re-visit yourself to keep the child in you alive.
Every year on November 14, Children’s Day is celebrated all across the country. The day is marked with revelry and festivities, with functions being organised in different schools. Also known as Bal Diwas in India, the inception of the celebrations can be traced back to 1956, when November 20 was celebrated as ‘Universal Children’s Day’ in keeping with the United Nations’ mandate. However, since Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s death in 1964, Children’s Day in India is celebrated on November 14 to mark his birth anniversary.
