On early Friday morning, Dec. 20, we successfully launched Boeing's uncrewed Starliner spacecraft on the first human-rated United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket.
The plan was for Starliner to get to the International Space Station and return home safely to Earth. While a lot of things went right, the spacecraft did not reach the planned orbit and will not dock to the space station. We're now working to return Starliner to White Sands, New Mexico.
We’ll continue to share information in the coming days.
