NO TODOS LOS MEDIOS HACEN UN CAMINO [सभी मीडिया मार्ग बना] sabhee meediya maarg bana

¿Quién fue Milarepa? Who was Milarepa?

________________________________________________

Through his own life which shows us the great yogi Milarepa represented an example of what the Bodhisattva ideal, while a model of incorruptible life of a genuine practitioner. By living without possessions in the high Himalayan wasteland made clear that poverty is not a form of deprivation, but a necessary way to emancipate themselves from the tyranny of material possessions. We showed that tantric practice involves no indulgence or negligence. It demands a lot of effort, perseverance and determined strict discipline. He showed that if there is a renunciation resolute and unwavering discipline all sublime ideas and stunning images that display the Tantric Mahayana Buddhism and are just wonderful illusions.

His biography, along with all the songs it contains, joined in the fifteenth century and is still one of the greatest sources of inspiration in Tibetan Buddhism.

Milarepa, whose name roughly translates as "Milarepa, who wears the cloak of an ascetic cotton", was born around 1025 in western Tibet, near the border with Nepal. His wealthy father died when he was seven and the prosperity of his family fell into the hands of guys who, despite having taken an oath to deceased father, tried to Milarepa, his mother and his sister almost like slaves. His mother begged him to avenge these wrongs and Milarepa approached witchcraft and came to dominate the destructive forces of nature. So with a fierce storm, killed many people.

Later remorse overwhelmed him and knew that the only way to purge their bad karma was to achieve enlightenment in this very life. Rongton sought to master Milarepa, who in turn sent it to Marpa, the famous translator who had just returned from India after many years of study there. Marpa Milarepa could see was a disciple of extraordinary ability and tremendous determination. He also noted that before he could fulfill that potential, Mila need rid of your bad karma and chose to treat him as a servant for six years, pretending to be a teacher surly. Milarepa was subjected to a harsh regime that brought him to the brink of suicide.

Once purified his karma Milarepa, Marpa prepared him to lead the solitary life of a yogi. He conveyed his main teachings of mahamudra, effortless perception of emptiness and the six yogas of Naropa, with special emphasis on the practice of tumors, the "psychic heat", which allowed him to live in the snow wearing only a thin cotton robe.

However, for this time, Milarepa had many years of being separated from his family and one day, while meditating in his cave, he fell asleep and dreamed he came home and saw the bones of his mother on the remains of what had been his home. He dreamed that his sister was a wandering beggar and his house and fields were abandoned and covered with weeds. He woke up and was crying so bitterly that his grief Marpa left and returned to his village, where he confirmed what troubled him in his dreams. Seeing that the painful human existence was consumed without hope, vainly impermanence, came within an anguished desire to renounce the world.

Milarepa made a solemn vow to meditate without interruption in a remote mountain to reach full enlightenment. So was meditating for twelve consecutive years alone in a cave, eating nothing with nettles, until his whole body became greenish. Thanks to the constant effort achieved its reward and reached complete enlightenment.

After this, he began to accept disciples and teach through his famous songs. He had many followers and supporters. Among these, the most famous was the physician Gampopa, who founded the monastic tradition of the Kagyu school.
