Ida Emma Charlotta Gisiko was born in Stockholm in 1859 as the daughter of merchant Charles Samuel Gisiko (born 1811). Ida's brother Carl Edvard Gisiko (born 1856) married the famous artist Oscar Björck's sister Ida Björck (born 1862).
She studied in Paris in the 1880s and was mainly known for oil paintings of landscapes.
Gisiko-Spärck was one of the artists who gathered around the Finnish painter Victor Westerholm in the Önningeby colony, a Finnish-Swedish artist colony that operates on the Åland Islands from 1886 to 1914. She was active in Önningeby at least in the summers of 1888 and 1890. A good friend of her was Hanna Rönnberg, a Finnish-Swedish artist and writer who also was part of the colony and painted with Gisiko-Spärck in Paris. After 1894 she married Johan Albert Spärck (died 1903) and moved to Denmark.
